Hello, meet Jadranka Andros

Mixed media, 3D acrylic painter and sculptor, whose inspiration comes from her soulful connection to nature, love for gardening, and fun and funky passion for fashion!

Jadranka's playground is a blank canvas. This is where her love for nature, plants, and her unique fashion style converge into a distinct three-dimensional art form. Blending colours on canvas and adding sculptural elements, manifests into fun and joyful artworks.

Growing up in Croatia, creativity was ingrained in Jadranka's lifestyle. From weaving, sewing, knitting, woodwork, ceramics in winter months to spending summer months gardening and working in nature. Despite starting her career with a Textile studies and Fashion Design diploma acquired in Croatia, her artistic journey did not continue once she moved to Canada in her early twenties. It wasn't until her late thirties, while studying Liberal arts, that she discovered her affinity for painting and decided to explore visual arts programs. Graduating from Vancouver Island University in 2020 with a major in Visual Arts and a minor in Liberal Studies marked the beginning of her focused pursuit of an artistic career.

Inspired by her deep connection to nature, love for plants and flowers as well as fashion design Jadranka combines painted canvas, textile materials, found objects, metal, to design vibrant and colorful artworks exuding joy and hope.

Her pieces have been exhibited at venues such as The View Gallery in Nanaimo, Milner's Garden in Qualicum Beach, Ladysmith Art Gallery, Cowichan Valley Art Gallery, and Port Theatre in Nanaimo. Much of her work finds its home in the collections of private art enthusiasts, both through purchases and commissions.
